Brief Description of the Project:
The project was designed to assist vulnerable and conflict-affected women, children, and their families by providing capacity building, training, and cash support to enhance their income and livelihoods. Support was given in goat rearing and vegetable farming, and beneficiaries received financial assistance to start or strengthen both farm-based and off-farm enterprises.
Major outcomes achieved/ Implementation Success:
  • Utilized the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) tool to identify vulnerable communities and assess available local resources.
  • Conducted two series of 3-day technical training sessions on livestock rearing, with a total of 30 participants receiving instruction.
  • Provided each household with NPR 12,000 to purchase 2 goats, amounting to a total support of NPR 1,812,000.
  • Offered skill development training to beneficiaries in livestock rearing, agriculture, and off-farm activities to enhance their capabilities.
